Pumkpin' Pickin' - A Big Success

Hello Everyone.  Our weekly jam finished October with a great time.  We presented our new Banner as you can see in the left photo (click on it to enlarge the image).  Many thanks for Sig Zobans for his graphic design work.  As many of you know, the last Thursday of every month we have CD giveaway, only this time the winner, Don Alison, won a two CD package including Jimmy Martin's greatest hits and Twenty years of Bluegrass.  Also to support our Pumpkin Pickin theme, any homemade desert that was brought in was automatically entered into a judging contest for "best desert" and the winner received a nice gift card to Cracker Barrel. Congratulations to Rita Goade for her wonderful, pumpkin desert with that great topping with pecans. Yummy!
Beyond all that we had a great time pickin our favorites tunes with pickers in four different rooms.  We also had a visitor from Colorado Springs.  It always amazes me how the word of our jam gets around.  Have a great week and tell your friends about our jam.
